A permanent residence permit in Spain allows foreigners to live and work in the country indefinitely.

To obtain it, you must have legally and continuously resided in Spain for at least five years.

 

There are also particular cases such as:

• EU Blue Card holders

• Residents who are beneficiaries of a retirement pension, permanent total disability pension or severe disability pension

• residents who were born in Spain

• foreigners who were Spanish by origin and have lost their Spanish nationality

• Stateless persons, refugees or beneficiaries of subsidiary protection
