Temporary residence permit authorizes a person to remain in Spain for a period of more than 90 days and less than 5 years. If the permit is valid for less than 5 years, it may be extended at the request of the interested party if circumstances similar to those that led to its granting occur.

Some types:

 

• Non-lucrative temporary residence

• Temporary employment residence 

• Temporary self-employment residence

• Residence status for reasons of economic interest: Entrepreneurs, highly qualified professionals, or cases of intra-company transfer.

• Digital Nomad / Telework 

• Temporary residence for family reunification

• Family residence of a citizen of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland

 

It's important to meet the established requirements and renew it before it expires. At the end of the temporary residence period, you can apply for a long-term residence permit if you meet the necessary conditions.
